The Baur au Lac will continue to offer quiet rooms in the wing of the city area, and the 2 inner courtyards will also be quiet. The works will be completed by summer 2009 and all inconveniences will be kept to an absolute minimum. |

Personal care and excellent service are our top priorities. The hotel was built in 1356 and renovated in 1992 and 1996. It is a short walk from the Lake of Zurich, the Opera House and Congress Hall as well as the shopping district on the Bahnhofstrasse. The hotel is a non-smoking hotel. We offer 24 traditionally designed rooms, some with lake view, on 4 floors. Each room has a private bath, desk, television, phone and min-bar. Some rooms have a safe and/or a sofa bed. A breakfast room and a reading room are also available. A copious breakfast buffet with fresh products awaits you every morning and guarantees a great start in the morning. The service is personal and we pay attention to every detail and offer a warm atmosphere. Big changes are coming up / January 4th to February 25th, 2010.Come and see: we will be remodeling our bathrooms on the 4th and 5th floors in January and February 2010. There will be generously proportioned walk-in showers and precious materials in subtle and comforting colours conveying a feeling of cosiness.We want our guests to enjoy their stay to the fullest. Noisy works will therefore be taking place from 08:00 am to 07:00 pm and on weekdays only. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. |
