| Built in the early 1900s by renowned Scottish architect Sir
Robert Lorimer as a private Country House, this highly rated
Edwardian style 3 star hotel has been recently restored and
is surrounded by gardens. Just 3 minutes walk round the
corner from the hotel is the famed James Braid 18-hole
links golf course and sandy beach with beautiful panoramic
views of the coastline.
A choice of three dining options awaits you. Outstanding
award winning menus of seasonal dishes using the finest
local produce, and can best be described as modern Scottish
cuisine with a strong highland influence.
Enjoy afternoon tea, pre dinner drinks or just relax with a
good book in the Reception Lounge with the sight and scents
of a roaring log fire in the winter. Indulge in the spa
treatments and therapies or workout in the gym, or just
relax in the heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam
room and Jacuzzi. After dinner enjoy a wee dram from the
extensive collection of whiskies before retiring to the
Snooker Room for a frame or two.
Brora is an ideal base for touring the Northern Scottish
Highlands. Nearby are local championship links golf
courses including Golspie, Royal Dornoch and Train. Just
north of Brora is John OGroats with its market stalls
where one can catch the passenger ferry to the
fascinating Orkney Islands. Just south of Brora is the
beautiful Dunrobin Castle looking just like a fairy tale

Starting point: From Airport
Start out at Inverness Airport, Inverness. Follow the signs for
the A9 north. Drive over Kessock Bridge and continue on the A9
for 60 miles. On arriving at Brora cross the small road bridge
and turn immediately right onto Golf Road � well signed for
Royal Marine Hotel. The hotel is 500 meters down the road on
the left hand sideStarting point: A82 from Fort William / A9 from Perth
By road from Inverness, follow the signs for the A9 for 60 miles
-approx 1hr 20mins driving time-. When you arrive in Brora the
Royal Marine Hotel is well sign posted. Drive over the little
bridge and turn immediately right down Golf Road. The hotel is
500 meters down the road on the left hand sideStarting point: From Wick
Start out at Wick. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the
A99. After 16 miles bear left onto the A9. Follow the A9 for 30
miles. When you arrive in Brora the Royal Marine Hotel is well
sign posted. Drive over the little bridge and turn immediately
