The Amadeus am Kurfürstendamm is set in the heart of Berlin, close to the Kurfürstendamm, one of Germany’s longest shopping boulevards, with a wealth of restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. Most sights, such as the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, Alexanderplatz, the Museum Island, the ICC Exhibition centre and the airports may easily reached by public transport.

The hotel offers elegantly furnished rooms and apartments, all with their own en-suite facilities and hair-dryer. All accommodations are equipped with satellite TV, radio and mini fridge. Non-smoking rooms are available on request. Some apartments even feature kitchen, microwave, kettle and cutlery.

Cheap price, location access by public transport. Too warm in room, air conditioning missing, impossible sleep with open window because of traffic noise. Staff asked to pay in cash even if they have equipment to read credit cards.

The hotel is right next to the subway station of Adenauerplatz. Rooms are clean although run down. If you just need a place to sleep in Charlottenburg you get good value for money. Even though the room was guaranteed with a credit card I had to pay in cash upon check-in. The hotel did not accept credit card payment. Since the hotel is on the 7th floor and I did not have enough money on me, I had to go downstairs to the next bank. This was quite annoying. The hotel is located above a large adult store with video cabins etc. There is another large adult store across the street and the area is littered with "clubs"...

Orange decor and thin curtains were a bit disconcerting, but a great place with great staff.
