 There was an outdoor jazz festival at the entrance to the hotel and we couldn't even get past the crowds with our luggage. It was far too noisy even with the windows closed until 2:00 am and after the music stopped there was the noise of clearing up until around 5:00 am. The restaurant was closed and was only offering fast food for dinner. I complained to reception, but the manager was not available until Monday. They subtracted the price of the breakfast from my account, but I said it was not sufficient. They did not deliver the goods (good night's sleep and decent food). The staff were reasonably helpful under the circumstances considering the hordes of people around the hotel. All in all a terrible experience. Someone should have warned us, before accepting the booking, about this festival, as if I had known I would not have booked it. |

Excellent hotel, ideal for a business traveller. The staff is polite and professional. Nothing is lacking. The room layout, accesibility to power outlets etc are ideal. A definite jewel.

The room was clean modern and well laid out out and the hotel is very central, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. Execellent Food.

Staffs are competant.
There should have been internet connection inside the room.It should have been part of the package for the room.
The general computer at the reception was very slow and difficult to get access to the mail. |

very nice bar/restaurant/breakfast room, excellent quality food. Perfect location in downtown Basel. External car parking very well organized by hotel staff.
