Straddling the A494 Dolgellau road, The White Lion Royal Hotel is ideally situated for touring north and mid Wales. One would have difficulty finding a location as well situated as the Bala area. We are within a spectacular drive of most of the coastal resorts of Wales, not to mention the innumerable beauty spots and magnificent views within the interior of this beautiful region. We have 26 rooms, set within a historic building dating back to 1759. It is full of character and takes away the hustle and bustle of the 21st century. Besides, all accomodations feature a bathroom, a hair dryer, a radio, a television and a desk. There are interesting shops, inns, restaurants and an intriguing historical town walk in our surroundings. The areas main attraction is Bala Lake or Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales, bordered by beautiful scenery and a narrow-gauge railway that attracts thousands of visitors each year. |
Lovely location & comfortable
Breakfast only starts serving at 8:00 am which was too late for me. Also had to go back to the Hotel later to checkout due to no staff availability at 7:15 when I needed to leave
