The four-star Ringhotel Köhlers Forsthaus is situated in the East Frisia holiday region. It enjoys an idyllic position on the edge of the woods. The region offers many ways to escape from everyday life. The hotel has a garden terrace by the goldfish pond and a vast lakeside garden as well as a playground. The North Sea coast is a 30-minute drive away.

Our restaurant has been positively mentioned in the Varta and Aral restaurant guides. We serve regional products, fish and game specialties.

The hotel’s pool and sauna area comprises a jacuzzi pool and jacuzzi tub, Finnish and bio sauna, Roman steam bath, sauna garden and a solarium. The wellness area was awarded 13 points and 1 lily by the Relax Guide in 2009. We offer cosmetic treatments (Maria Galland and Thalgo) and massages (traditional massages and foot reflexology), Ayurveda and thalasso as well as hot stone therapy. Pools and a chill-out room are at your disposal as well.

The hotel is an ideal starting point for guided motorcycle, convertible and old-timer tours to get to know the exiting history of East Frisia and of chieftains and pirates, and to drive along the ‘Route 66 of L.A.’ (L.A. meaning ‘Landkreis Aurich’, which is the administrative district of the town of Aurich). The hotel is especially suitable for motorcyclists. Pets are welcome.

The school of Taoism, which is 800 from the hotel, provides exercise machines (free of charge) and offers martial arts and fitness courses as well as further sports offers. Thanks to the hotel’s fitness trail running through the woods, guests are able to enjoy outdoor activities like jogging, walking and Nordic walking. A garden with climbing facilities is planned for April 2009. Bike rental, signposted cycling paths and guided cycling tours are offered, too.

Moreover, the hotel has conference and banqueting facilities as well as a hall with a capacity for 120 people.
