Business hours of reception: 24 hours The family-run Hotel Amalfi was founded in 1972. The building, a former pasta factory built in tufa stone, is located in a street which is easy to find. It is only a few metres away from the Arabic-Norman cathedral. The functional, yet tastefully furnished rooms all offer a direct dial telephone, satellite TV and further amenities. The restaurant is located on the 5th floor and thanks to its glass windows it offers a wonderful view of the Mediterranean-style houses. In the summer you can take your breakfast and evening meal on the cosy terrace. The restaurant mainly serves typical cuisine from the Campania region, based on the freshest ingredients and prepared daily with a lot of love. The terrace garden provides an oasis of relaxation in our hotel, where you can spend time in complete peace and quiet. The 100- year- old orange and lemon trees give off a pleasantly refreshing scent. The delicious fruit can be enjoyed as a dessert or at breakfast as freshly-squeezed juice. |
This is the cleanest, nicest reasonably-priced hotel I stayed at during my trip on the Amalfi Coast. The staff were really helpful and on top of things. The breakfast terrace is very pleasant. It was nice to have a good selection of whole fruit available at breakfast.
There's quite a bit of noise when other guests jiggle their keys in the doors. Maybe the hotel should consider moving to an electronic or a one-turn key system to avoid this.
