The family-run Hotel Lang boasts a convenient location in the centre of Altenahr, next to the Ahrbrücke bridge and only 50 m from the railway station. The cosy hotel provides 2 guesthouses and is the ideal accommodation for guests wishing to spend a relaxing holiday in a pleasant ambience.

Our hotel's 40 rooms are comfortably equipped providing shower and toilet, hair-dryer, vanity mirror, safe, mini-bar, satellite TV and radio. Much light and warm colours cater for a pleasant atmosphere making it easy to feel as snug as a bug in a rug.

The creative regional cuisine of our in-house restaurant provides a varied offer. For lunch and dinner time, you will enjoy the culinary creations our experienced kitchen team prepares accompanied by selected wines from our own wine cellar.

We also offer live music on a daily basis in our crystal mirror hall. Furthermore, we would be glad to organise wine tastings in our Im Fässchen wine cellar bar. The hotel's surroundings offer numerous leisure opportunities like cycling or hiking tours through the beautiful Ahrtal valley. The use of the indoor swimming pool 50 m from the hotel is free of charge for our guests.

staff were friendly and helpful room away from main hotel, noisy, no spare pillows, no shower caps, no air conditioning, tv too small and too high up,safe on floor and poor access.

Pet friendly and clean rooms. Close to great hikes and good wine. A little noisy...could people leaving and coming in the halls both early morning and late night.

Good location in center of town Altenahr. Nice orchestra foor te summer festival. Noisy room in the front of the hotel. Very hot in room, little ventilation except through open window.

Big car park, next to railway station and in middle of the main road passing through town. If you come by train GREAT. Across the road I found a half working flipper table also. RARE. We had the gourmet deal. There was no choice, it was a fixed 4 course menu - without coffee. The Forelle was wie gerauchetes Leder; die Spargelsuppe sehr salzig; der Schweinebraten einige Scheiben ohne grossen geschmack obwohl die Bohnen schmeckten. Das Eis war standard Langese und schone mit rot und gruene E nummers uebergossen; aber wahtscheinlich harmlos... Ich haette ja gehofft das eine Auswahl moeglich waere, meine 80 jaehrige schwerbehinderte Mutter kann nich mehr alles so essen wie frueher.... aber nein - das "menu" was noch nichtmal zu lesen, einfach was muendlich erklaerte wurde...Was haben andere gegessen auf diesen Plan? Die ost-Europaeische Bedienung wahr sehr freundlich wie immer...obwohl der Chef dauernt kritisierte... Dass zimmer hat bessere Zeiten gesehen und die Decke war an pellen mit alter ... die drei-eckige form des zimmer bedeutere das meine nicht schlanke Mutter nicht in all ecken gehen konnte...Fragen sie fuer ein Zimmer das nicht der Hauptstrasse Seite liegt, die Rushhour ist laut morgens...Der "50m pool" ist leider ein 5n x 5m Becken in ein anderes Hotel ueber eine strassenbruecke - ich nehme an das diese brueck 50m lang ist... Nach jahren auf Reisen wurde mir aml gesagt - pass auf in Hotels wo der parkplatz neben den Eingang fuer den besitzer reserviert ist, nicht fier Gaeste.. raten sie mal... OK, stupid me left something very important in the room. I rang up about 5pm and explained. They would ask the staff the next morning ! Sorry but by then I will have changed all my passwords that I left on my USB key in the room.... Diese kurze Reise sollte eine Erinnerung and meine Mutters Flitterwochen sein; leider was das beste Angebot von Altenahr sehr mangelhaft. Liebe Burger von Altenahr - ween Eure Post spaer angkommt dann bruacht ihr nur hier anzurusfen - der Postbote machte ein gemuetliches fruestueck von 0830-0915 weill der Postwage vor der Tuer stand und andere Autos herumfahren musste... ein wirkliches Dorf leben... wie schoen...
