Totally refurbished in 2006, the three-star Hotel Maya boasts an excellent location at the foot of the Santa Bárbara Castle, 200 m from Postiguet Beach, 100 m from the Plaza Mar 2 shopping centre, and 500 m from the city centre. Only 25 from the hotel there is a tram station (Museum MARQ) and the hotel is 10 minutes away from Alicante marina. The airport is 12 km away. The hotel offers a total of 193 fully-equipped rooms, 192 of which are double rooms with a single use and 1 double suite with bathroom featuring Jacuzzi tub. All rooms feature satellite TV, individually controlled air-conditioning and heating, direct-dial telephone, en-suite bathroom, a free safe and a mini-bar, among others. We provide rooms for disabled people as well. Premium Services include complimentary internet access in all rooms, WLAN, complimentary 24hs internet area, breakfast, lunch and dinner (buffet style), fax, printer and photocopier service at the reception, laundry and ironing service. Clean Room
On arrival there was no reservation booked, I had a booking reference and still no room. Eventually got a room, which was a double room with a fold out bed. On booking we requested a triple room with twin beds. There was also no security depoist key as they could not find it and also we could not use the pool because it was not opening till mid June which I felt should have been on the web site. Also the staff had no english at all. This hotel is defenitly not for a tourist on holiday it is more a business trip hotel.
