| A XIXth century chateau built upon the ruins of a Vauban fort, set in the middle of a flowery 3-hectare garden with both ancient trees and ornamental ponds, the Hostellerie des 3 Mousquetaires offers you the authentic charm of a beautiful French residence. The chateau is located at the entrance of Aire sur la Lys , between the borders of the Artois hills and the Flanders plains , the geographical centre of the north of France . Aire sur la Lys, a town full of traditions, has some wonderful monuments which stand as witness to a rich past including the Bailliage, a former barrack room built in 1600 in a Flemish Renaissance style, which was once run by d’Artagnan, the King's Mousquetaire. You will be warmly welcomed by Caroline et Philippe Venet family who put 31 very comfortable rooms and 2 suites at your disposal, each one with a different style and decoration, some even fitted with tester beds to put you really into the chateau atmosphere. Lounges with open fires are available for your relaxation, where you can savor a cocktail before going through to one of the elegant dining rooms which look over the Lys valley. Here, you will be able to appreciate numerous gastronomical and regional specialties thanks to our culinary team.
