Hotel Merkur in its contemporary appearance was built in the 1930s on a site of 2 historical buildings – a 16th century brewery and a burgess estate. Remnants of those 2 sites are preserved on the underground level and partially also on the ground floor. A complete reconstruction was done several years ago; the logo and the name of Hotel Merkur are originals from the 1930s. The hotel is located in close proximity of Prague’s historical city centre, near to all significant sights and the newly opened Palladium shopping mall, which offers a large number of shops, restaurants and other services. The Old Town square and Wenceslas square are only a very pleasant 15 minute stroll away. Being close to the city centre, our hotel offers excellent transportation possibilities – lines C and B of Prague’s subway are located approximately 50 m from our hotel and most lines of buses and trams are within 2 minutes walk. A public parking lot is directly in front of the hotel building (30 crowns per hour). We offer a number of parking spaces for motorbikes and bicycles in our courtyard.

Our hotel has a capacity of 50 rooms – 4 single, 33 double and 13 triple rooms. Each room is equipped with a bathroom (shower or bath), a hairdryer, satellite TV and a safe. Moreover, we offer a free Wi-Fi hot spot. Breakfast is served in buffet style – we are particular about preparing homemade food. A lobby bar is available for our guests from 03:00 pm to 03:00 am.
