Peacocks roam freely- grouse and pheasants dart from the bull-rushes and ducks swim freely on the ponds. This is the romantic setting of Bailiffscourt Hotel. This enchanting folly- built in the 1930s by Lord Lady Moyne using medieval materials gathered from afar and captures the imagination- transporting you back in time. The award winning Spa with its heated and indoor swimming pools- hot tub- sauna- steam room- gymnasium and 5 treatment rooms awaits you whilst you relax and pamper yourself during your stay with us. We have 39 bedrooms- many with vaulted ceilings roaring log fires in seven of the bedrooms and in two of the lounges. 12 Bedrooms have 4 poster beds - one bedroom has two unique single 4 poster beds. A beautiful mullioned windowed Music Room is licensed for wedding ceremonies. Set in the Grounds there is a chapel - although now deconsecrated- it remains a wonderful old building for Blessings after a civil ceremony in the Music Room or for renewing of wedding vows. We have the finest cuisine from award winning chefs. Dinner can be taken in our Tapestry Restaurant with mullioned windows and candlelit tables. The ancient towns of Arundel and Chichester are within easy distance and provide a wealth of history and cultural activities whilst still being a short distance from the beautiful rolling South Downs. Bailiffscourt can be easily reached by road or train and has excellent connections for the London Airports It is the ideal location for both formal and informal business meetings- wedding celebrations or just for that relaxing get away. |
