Ludwigshafen (am Rhein) is a city in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Ludwigshafen is located on the Rhine opposite Mannheim. Together with Mannheim, Heidelberg and the surrounding region, it forms the Rhine Neckar Area.
The city provides for a large number of cosy and comfortable hotels to welcome its numerous guests. The pilgrimage church Mariae Himmelfahrt, the city’s landmark, is located in the district Oggersheim and attracts many of the guests at Ludwigshafen’s hotels. The church was built in accordance with the Loreto pilgrimage.
Many of Ludwigshafen’s hotels are located in the inner city, where the guests may visit the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum with the impressive decoration of its front by artist Joan Miró. The museum’s exhibition of contemporary art is internationally well renowned.
