„Mainhattan“, apart from being the world’s smallest metropolis, is a melting pot of cultures and dubbed the “banker and skyscraper town” with numerous hotels. But it is also very traditional and typically Hesse, with half-timbered buildings and old patrician houses and appears to be an idyllic and picturesque town. You may choose from a variety of hotels in all price classes.
The most beautiful sights are the Main Tower and The Zeil (main shopping street), which will be easily accessible from your hotel. We also recommend you to see the old opera house, the Goethe House, the Schirn Art Gallery, and the two museums Städel and Senckenberg.
You will reach all your destinations within the city easily by public transportation. The town centre is an environmental zone. In the evenings we recommend you to visit the district Alt-Sachsenhausen, where the legendary apple wine bars offer regional specialties such as spareribs with kraut, hand cheese together with music and “Frankfurt’s Green Sauce”.
The modern restaurants “Manitou” and “Im Herzen Afrikas” will also stay in mind. The centrally located hotels provide for easy access to the fair exhibition hall, where every year the book fair and the IAA are taking place. Frankfurt and its hotels can be reached easily by train, bus, car, ship or with a plane.
