Erfurt, the capital of the state Thuringia, looks back upon a longstanding history, which even now still characterises the townscape. Erfurt is located near the crossing of the autobahns A4, A9 and A71 and is easily accessible by car or with public transportation. The airport and the connection to several ICE and other trains contribute to the accessibility of the town. Public transportation is well constructed and consists of 6 city train lines and 25 bus lines.
