Brunswick, also known as the Lion City, is the second largest town in Lower Saxony and is characterised by its unique appearance consisting of modern architecture and historic monuments at the same time. You can reach the hotels in the city centre of Brunswick via one of the two autobahns, A2 or A39, or, starting at the central station with public transportation. Not far from this historical island Brunswick’s castle has been rebuilt in 2007 and now houses a huge shopping centre.
The Brunswick Cathedral on the castle square unmistakably marks the centre of the city. On this square you will also find one of the most renowned hotels of the city, the “Hotel Deutsches Haus”.
