The Swan at Lavenham is the quintessential English country hotel situated in the Suffolk countryside. The hotel dates back to the 1400's when it played a key role in Lavenham's wool trade. Today, it is a thriving hotel where ancient oak beams and inglenook fireplaces blend to create the perfect ambiance for rest and relaxation . Lavenham is one of the country¿s finest examples of a Tudor market town with a splendid array of listed buildings.
Each of the Swan's 51 non-smoking en suite bedrooms boast a mix of rich fabrics and furnishings coordinated in soft and mellow colours, while pure linen sheets and feather pillows ensure night time comfort. Named after local Suffolk villages, each bedroom is original in style and range from standard double rooms to four poster beds. . Oak beams and original Medieval wall paintings abound and you will take great delight wandering through the corridors and discovering the truly original character of The Swan.
One of the joys of eating at the Swan is its range of dining options; from the informal Garden Bar Restaurant and historic Old Bar to the elegant AA two Rosette Gallery Restaurant and tranquil garden. The Swan's inspired menus are made using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and are complemented by an excellent selection of local ales and traditional and New World wines. Our three meeting rooms provide a high degree of privacy and natural daylight, seating 18 delegates boardroom-style or 45 theatre-style. With its abundance of oak beams and inglenook fireplaces, the Swan offers an inspirational environment for a wide variety of events, including exhibitions, conferences, meetings and team away day. |
