Welcome to Gästehaus am Stadtgarten! Our chic design hotel is located close the city garden in the heart of Freiburg. The pedestrian zone is only 2 walking minutes away.

Directly opposite the hotel, you will find our guesthouse providing 35 rooms that have been partly renovated at the beginning of 2008. All rooms feature shower, toilet, telephone and TV. Many of the well-kept, light-flooded rooms furthermore come with a balcony. The rooms are spread on 4 floors and are up to 35 m² in size.

The breakfast room and the reception can be found in the design hotel. Do not miss to visit our trendy Vis à Vis cafe, bar and lounge. Here, you will be spoilt with tasty snacks, light meals for lunch and dinner as well as coffee and cake while you can let your mind wander sitting on comfy lounge furnishings and listening to pleasant bar music. In the evenings, we also serve delicious cocktails. In summer, we cordially invite you to our beautiful sun terrace.

The city of Freiburg also boasts a varied spare time offer. You may for example take a walk to the close-by city garden, visit Freiburg Münster cathedral or saunter through the Old Town with its narrow alleys, gorgeous wells and historic buildings. Only a few kilometres away, you will find the local mountain called Schauinsland (have a look on the countryside) with an altitude of 1284 m offering fascinating panoramic views of Freiburg, the Rhine valley and the Vosges.
