The Relais La Torre is located in the ancient complex of Longobard origin ( XII century ) along the roman 'Via Ariminensis', a road of great military importance which connected the town of Arezzo with Rimini, and it is just 7 km from Arezzo, 14 km form the A1 motorway exit, roughly 70 km from both Florence and Siena. Dipped in the wide estate amongst vineyards, olive-groves and woods, the relais is part of the fortified complex 'La Torre', with the various constructions composed around a fulcrum of a paved internal space, connecting the main residence with the farm annexes, hosting the suites and the chapel which in the actual structure dates back to 1756. The structure comprises five suites, a reception area and a shop selling home-farm produce and hand crafted items. The rooms, Greppia, Ziraia, Limonaia, La Torre e lAia, with independent access, are of Spartan nature comprising of a bedroom with wrought iron bed, living room with sofa bed, and a bathroom with traditional shower. Comforts are completed by a 26 inch LCD monitor-TV with internet connection, and independent heating and air-conditioning. Dining: The stay includes bed and breakfast, the latter rigorously on the basis of conserves made from the fruit of the farm, traditionally rustic homemade pastries, fresh bread, extra virgin olive oil, daily fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables. By Car: From the A1 motorway: - Exit at Arezzo and follow the signs for the city for about 8 km. - Once you reach the town bypass, follow the signs for Bibbiena. - After 3 km, join the national road S71. - After approximately 4 km, turn right in the direction of Anghiari and continue for 4 km until you reach Chiassa Superiore. - Turn right to enter the village and turn left immediately after the small bridge. - Continue uphill for approximately 200 metres following the street signs until you reach the gate of the hotel. |
