One Millionth Booking Client On hotel.de

Nürnberg, 7th December 2005 - hotel.de, the free of charge online hotel reservation service, still continues its rapid growth and welcomes its one millionth booking client only 4 years after its foundation.

Within the last 4 years, hotel.de has been continuously growing with an annual rate of more than 100%. As an agent, hotel.de currently generates more than 175.000 room nights per month. While the turnover of bookings in 2004 almost attained 60 million Euros, Dr. Heinz Raufer, CEO of the German-based hotel.de AG, expects a clear doubling for this year, reaching 130 million Euros.

Raufer's simple explanation for the company's success is as follows: "Our position on the market, which we have been able to reach in quite a short period of time, is the result of our highly motivated team of 180 members working hard every day, as well as our efficient business model: hotel.de offers advantages - not only for our booking clients, but also for our cooperating partner hotels."

These partially result from the very low hotel rates which hotel.de is able to negotiate with hotels thanks to its high booking volume. Additionally, hotel.de always displays all rates available for every single hotel (e.g. promotional rates, corporate or weekend rates), so that the customer can choose the lowest or best-fitting rate. Another major advantage of hotel.de is the fact that booking confirmations are sent right into the hotel's computer - making a reservation fast, safe and reliable. This is enabled by hotel.de's unique integration of the hotels' central reservation systems (so-called CRS) under one consistent user surface.
