The hotel.info Value for Money Index: London has not achieved Top Ranking either nationally or internationally
London, 22. February 2011 – in which city do hotel guests receive the most, and in which the least, value for their money? During the first quarter of 2011 hotel.info, the free online hotel reservation service with more than 210,000 hotels worldwide, analysed the evaluations of its customers in respect of value for money.*
For the first time hotel.info expanded its analysis of value for money to 2 to 5 star hotels in the United Kingdom. This means that frequently booked business hotels in the budget category are now included in the following analysis as well as hotels in the mid and upper range (3 to 5 stars) as previously. Additionally the 5 star segment is once again representing the luxury end of the market.
Belfast clearly in the lead; Edinburgh and Cardiff in the Top 15, in front of London
Tallinn, the Cultural Capital of 2011 is in fourth place; Moscow just missed a place in the Top 20

The 2 to 5 star hotels in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi gained the first place globally with a score of 7.85 points. However in the top half of the table cities in Eastern Europe are well represented. Tallinn in Estonia, the Cultural Capital of 2011, was placed a good fourth with 7.68 points. London could also not keep up in the international comparison. Just like the eternal city of Rome and Moscow these vast cities are not included in the Top 20.
