hotel.de to launch its homepage in Spanish

Nuremberg, 3. January, 2005 - hotel.de, a leading online hotel reservation service, has released a new Spanish homepage in accordance with its continuing international expansion strategy. As of today all explanations and functionalities will be available not only in German, English and French but also in Spanish language. Through its new Spanish version the hotel broker meets the requirements of its Spanish-speaking customers who are now only a few clicks away from booking 150,000 hotels worldwide in their mother tongue. hotel.de is seeking to successfully meet the expectations of its international corporate accounts such as Spanish-based companies and multinationals. Their Spanish-speaking employees are now in the position to book hotels directly from their desk tops, online, autonomously and without any language barrier. The company will continue its course of internationalisation throughout 2005. By targeting the launch of its services also in Italian language within the first quarter of the year and with additional languages to come, hotel.de will strive to further meet the its strategic goal of connecting hotels and guests worldwide. Actually hotel.de's turnover in foreign countries has already reached a share of total sales of approx. 35%. For 2005 a considerable increase up to 45% is planned.

hotel.de is a leading online hotel reservation service. Via hotel.de its customers can book about 150,000 hotels and hotel packages worldwide at discount room rates. Hotels benefit from hotel.de as an additional high coverage sales channel distributing their offers and specials to the right target groups. hotel.de is the only hotel reservation service to unite all major central hotel booking engines (such as Pegasus, WorldRes, Trust, HRN) as well as its own reservation system ARS (Advanced Reservation System) under one user interface. The specific advantage is that all room contingents and rates of these systems will be checked for real-time availability and accuracy. The best rate of an individual hotel will be displayed for all customers to book the lowest rate available in nearly all locations and at any time. The numerous hotel package offers designed especially for hotel.de customers are also unique in character. hotel.de is operated by the German company hotel.de AG and has offices in both Hamm and Nuremberg. Between April 1998 and October 2001, hotel.de was a joint venture between Atrada Trading Network AG and the hotel marketing company Intergerma GmbH & Co. Since becoming an independent company in 2001, hotel.de has been successfully extending its online content and is today a leading hotel reservation service.
