Do I have to maintain a reservation system? Yes, a reservation system must be used and maintained. It is not possible to offer your rooms "only on request". As a direct contract partner, you can use our own online reservation system myRES.
Do I have to provide a specific number of rooms (allotments)? No, you can manage the number of available rooms and maintain closed dates in our myRES reservation system yourselves.
What are the termination conditions after conclusion of a partnership agreement? The Partnership Agreement is valid from the confirmation of acceptance by %PartnerSiteName and may be terminated to the end of the month. The written notice of termination has to arrive on the last day of the month, at the latest.
Can I incorporate a link on my hotel homepage to %PartnerSiteName? Yes, you can integrate a direct link on your own homepage. This will improve the presentation of your hotel and also give your booking customers the opportunity to book your hotel directly from your own homepage. For further information, please contact hotelhotelinfo.
How can I update the presentation of my hotel? There are two modes of presentation. First is the hotelinfo hotel presentation mode. This appears as soon as the hotel uses the myRES booking system offered by us. All the required information for your hotel presentation is entered by you during registration. You can change this information at any time through the Hotel Centre (http://www.hotel.info/Hotel/Maintain.aspx). Hotels that use an external reservation system (a so-called Central Reservations System - CRS) are displayed in hotelinfo using the information already stored in that system.
How many images can be included (when using the myRES system)? A maximum of 20 images can be uploaded. Images of the outside (front), the lobby, hotel rooms, dining facilities and leisure facilities are particularly effective ways of generating a positive impression of your hotel.
How much text can be entered (when using the myRES system), and what should the text include? The descriptive text should be no longer than 2,000 characters. Of special interest for the guest is information on location and surroundings of the hotel, as well as on the rooms and sports, wellness and leisure facilities.
How can I change the receipt of booking confirmations? You can change this setting at any time in the Hotel Centre (http://www.hotel.info/Hotel/Maintain.aspx). Alternatively, you can send an e-mail to hotelhotelinfo to inform us of any changes, which we will gladly make on your behalf. You can opt to receive confirmations by fax or by e-mail.
What is the Best Price Guarantee? When you provide an Internet Best Price rate, you are guaranteeing that this is the best price that can be found on the Internet. Your rooms must not be available cheaper through other distribution channels or on your website. You can price match.
Where and how do I enter or update my rates, prices, allotments and closed dates in myRES? To edit your rates in myRES, please first log in to hotelinfo then click “For Hotels” and “Manage allotments”. Please now click on "Manage": START“. Doing this will block your hotel for bookings through www.hotelinfo for the duration of the revision process. If you only want to check your rates, you can ignore this step.
If you would first like to check and update your closed dates for the current date, you can do this easily under the “(Un)lock availability” menu option by clicking the respective date. For short term rate changes, please use the myRES menu item “Edit rates and allotments”. For rate changes over a longer period, use the “Input Assistant”.

Can I change my prices and booking conditions according to season? If you wish to change your prices on a seasonal basis they can be uploaded using the “Input Assistant”. This menu item allows you to specify the booking periods in the first step, allowing you to create multiple consecutive seasons.
If the seasonal periods require different cancellation conditions you can integrate these using the menu item “Maintain trade fair/exhibition periods”. This allows you to enter special cancellation conditions in addition for each booking period.

How can I change my general cancellation conditions? hotelinfo will take care of this for you. Please send the information as to when the guest may cancel free of charge to the hotelhotelinfo(e,g. "up to 1800 hours on the day of arrival" or "up to 1800 hours on the day before arrival). Please mention both the time and day.
How can I change the price of breakfast? You can edit the price of breakfast directly within myRES. Do this by logging in and selecting the "Edit breakfast prices" menu item.
Can I modify the minimum stay for my rates? You can control this setting using the “Minimum Stay” option, using the myRES menu item “Edit prices and allotments” for short periods or the myRES menu item “Input Assistant” for longer periods.

How do I configure additional room categories and rates in myRES? hotelinfo will set up new room categories and rates for you. Please submit a request in writing with the names of the rooms and their maximum occupancy and new rate to hotelhotelinfo. Please note that since we wish to maintain a uniform presentation for visitors to hotelinfo it may not always be possible to use exactly your desired room name or description.
Can I offer special, temporary promotional rates through hotelinfo? Yes, this is possible. However, promotional rates should ideally have a minimum duration of 4 to 6 weeks. Please send complete information on your offer to hotelhotelinfo for us to verify the details.
Can I edit my myRES rates using a Channel Management System? This is possible in principle, although hotelinfo does not offer its own Channel Management System. Please contact your service provider first, who will provide all the information you need. Technical support relating to the use with myRES must also be supplied by the provider in the first instance.
Please note that it is only possible to activate the rates permanently for all connected agents through the corresponding channel management system if the rates have been entered using the appropriate software. Allotments and the Best Price rate, different seasonal rates or fair rates with different cancellation conditions and catering information (e.g. breakfast included or not included), promotional rates, minimum stay, etc., have to be updated regularly in your channel managment software.
How can I optimise my booking volume through hotelinfo? In order to help you optimise booking volume and access new customer groups hotelinfo offers various discounted rates, such as the special corporate discount that applies to the almost 1,500,000 business booking customers at hotelinfo.
Apart from this the following discounts are also possible: Last-Minute discount/Early Bird discount/Non-Flex discount/Long-Stay discount. All discount rates are interpreted as a percentage discount on the daily rate, with no extra effort from you.

Why can my hotel not (yet) be viewed or booked on hotelinfo? Please use your personal access codes to check that the availability for your hotel is valid in the myRES system under "Edit rates and allotments". The following factors determine whether a hotel can be booked through hotelinfo:
The rate price must not be blocked (red border)
At least 1 bookable room must be available in the room allotment The allotment must not have a red border and must not be set to 0
The “arrival day” function must be activated so that the requested day appears as bookable
If the “Minimum stay” is set to greater than 1 night, this must be taken into account in the booking query
If you use the function “Maximum rooms”, then an available number of rooms must be offered
How do I make my hotel visible/available for booking on hotelinfo? In myRES, you can make your hotel visible/available for booking by clicking "Edit rates and allotments" and unlocking prices and allotments by double-clicking them to remove the red border. However, if your hotel remains unavailable for booking or invisible on hotelinfo, please contact us at hotelhotelinfo or by calling +49 2381 980820.
What is a static corporate discount rate/negotiated rate? A static corporate discount rate/negotiated rate is a fixed rate negotiated between you and a company, and is generally commission-free (net rate).
Why can I not view the corporate discount/negotiated rates that have been created in my hotel on hotelinfo? Negotiated net rates/corporate discount rates are protected by password and are only accessible and bookable by the appropriate corporate client.
Can I upload the static corporate discount/negotiated rates I have negotiated to hotelinfo myself? No. We only host negotiated rates for companies that have a Corporate Client Agreement already in place with hotel.de AG. These corporate clients forward their own negotiated net rates to us for activation on hotelinfo.
Can I change any existing corporate discount rates/negotiated rates myself? No. Corporate discount rates/negotiated rates can only be changed by hotelinfo, after verification with the appropriate company.
Do I have to manage specific allotments for corporate discount/negotiated rates? No, hotelinfo links the corporate discount/negotiated rates with the allotment that has been activated per room type with the rates that can be accessed by the general public.
Do I have to lock corporate discount rates/negotiated rates separately? When locking your entire allotment, you do not need to lock the corporate discount rates/negotiated rates separately. However, if you enter a conference rate or seasonal rate using the overview by month in our myRES system, you must lock the static corporate discount rate/negotiated rate separately if you do not wish it to be available (or if it is not part of the agreement with the corresponding company).
What defines a package deal on hotelinfo? An offer for a short break should generally be for up to 3 nights including breakfast as well as a clear and simple statement of all items in the package - "the less complicated the offer the higher the chance of it being booked"

As prerequisites for the listing you must, for example, also use our own myRES reservation system and adhere to the Best Price guarantee (rate parity).
Can a hotel offer more than one package deal at the same time? hotelinfo allows each hotel to configure up to two offers at a time. Depending on the success of the package further offers may be entered in the system.
How can I extend the validity of a package deal? A hotel itself cannot extend a package deal. The visibility of the offer is controlled by hotelinfo. You must submit an extension request form. Once we have checked the booking feedback that has been received, hotelinfo will extend and reactivate the offer.
What are the costs of activating a short break package on hotelinfo? Activation is free. Commission is charged on the basis of the hotelinfo partnership agreement (+VAT in Germany).
Since the entry of package deals in our system is complex checks are made of each hotel to establish whether it is of a sufficient standard to be saleable through the hotelinfo portal (based on our experience).
What is a GDS? Global Distribution Systems (GDS) are booking platforms used by travel agents and supply data to the majority of Internet-based travel portals, intranets and booking engines.

What are the conditions for cooperation? The prerequisite for using this sales channel is the use of hotelinfo's reservation system, myRES, to manage allotments. Additionally your hotel may not have been previously bookable through a CRS into the GDS.
Do I need to manage an additional system, or supply different prices? No, you can carry on using myRES as usual. The rates you have configured are transferred from myRES to the GDS in real time.
How are GDS bookings identified? As usual, you will receive a reservation confirmation for each GDS booking. We will look after your billing through the GDS. Nevertheless, GDS bookings will be flagged in our invoices, for the purposes of greater clarity.
What are the termination conditions after conclusion of a GDS agreement? The GDS agreement is valid for the period of one year, and will be extended and valid for another year unless a written cancellation is sent in before the year ends. The written notice of termination has to arrive on the last day of the year, at the latest.
Who can submit an online review of my hotel? Online reviews can only be submitted from the booking customer's own account with us after departure from the hotel.
Is it possible to list breakfast and/or other catering separately? No. Both these items are covered in the Food section.
Will irrelevant evaluations automatically deleted on a change of management or ownership? Deletion of these reviews can only be approved after comprehensive renovation works throughout the entire hotel complex. Evidence of this work must be supplied by the hotel.
What do I do in the case of an overbooking? Cancellation of the reservation is not possible, since your hotel has a binding contractual obligation to the booking customer to provide accommodation or travel services. If you do not have a room for the customer you are obliged to offer the customer alternative accommodation in the direct vicinity of your hotel. The alternative accommodation must be in an establishment of the same category as your hotel and must be offered at the same conditions and prices as originally booked. Furthermore you must inform the guest immediately of the alternative.

What conditions must my hotel meet in order to be listed in the hotelinfo meeting tool? The minimum requirements for a listing in the meeting tool are:
at least 3 stars
at least 30 guest rooms
at least three meeting rooms
largest meeting room must accommodate at least 30 people in a classroom layout
How can I have my hotel listed in the hotelinfo meeting tool? A separate agreement is required to obtain a listing for your hotel in the Meeting Tool, since the individual booking tool and meeting tool are separate from each other. What costs are involved for me as a hotelier if my hotel is listed in the Meetings' Tool of hotelinfo? Listing in the meeting tool is free of charge. hotelinfo operates exclusively on a commission basis. When a booking is made commission is payable on the booked overnights (including breakfast), daily or overnight packages, cancellation charges, catering during the meeting as well as on the rental charges for the meeting rooms.
How does the meeting tool work? The meeting tool operates along the lines of a "request-for-proposal" (RFP) basis. There is no need to upload specific rates and capacity. When a customer sends an inquiry, you reply to them via the meeting tool, providing your current prices and availability.
How can I update the presentation of my hotel in the meeting tool? We will update this for you. Please send the relevant information by e-mail to hotelhotelinfo.
How is commission charged and billed? The commission charge is calculated on the basis of the actual total services provided at the end of the event.
hotelinfocooperates with a variety of external partner travel arrangers and providers. Each of these additional distribution channels serves to provide even more online bookings for your hotel.
What costs are incurred by bookings made through hotelinfo agents? Each hotel continues to pay the same commission as is due when bookings are made through hotelinfo. Exception: Booking of hotels through GDS. A special agreement is concluded with these hotels, which also regulates the commission rate.
Will my hotel be considered automatically for such cooperation, or does a separate system have to be maintained or different prices provided? All hotels that can be booked through hotelinfo are automatically passed on to external partners. hotelinfo has no influence on which hotels are incorporated into the partner's application. Usually partners accept all the hotels. You do not need any additional rates or allotment management. All hotelinfo partners access the rates available through hotelinfo.
How are payments handled for bookings made by booking customers through external partners? The payment process is usually the same as for bookings made through hotelinfo- i.e payments are usually made on departure from the hotel. Exception: Bookings from tour operators. In this case, the booking is paid for by the organiser - i.e. the customer pays the complete amount for his trip to the organiser in advance, and receives a voucher that also bears a hotelinfo reservation number.
